Contemporary Classics
This exciting program features iconic examples of 20th- and 21st-century brass repertoire, as well as new compositions by some of today’s leading composers. By juxtaposing pillars of the literature alongside fresh creations, this program showcases the stylistic diversity and expressive capabilities of the brass quintet medium. Listeners will hear distinguished works by Tilson-Thomas and Sampson, as well as recent works by Biedenbender and DiLorenzo.
Latin American Artistry
Integrating original works for brass quintet with arrangements of popular songs from around Latin America, this program brings a personal touch to the traditional concert program. Emphasis is placed on celebrating the solo identity of each instrument and showcasing the virtuosic talents of all five individuals. Compositions by legendary Cuban-American artist Paquito D'Rivera and Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla are accompanied by pop standards such as Besame Mucho and La Bikina, among other vibrant arrangements.

Educational Brass Workshop
This is an enriching program designed to connect with young audiences through interactive musical showcases. Students will engage with all five instruments of the ensemble, learning through dynamic dialogue and active participation. Musical examples draw on a diverse body of works that feature culturally relevant music from the countries of Mexico, Argentina, United States, Peru, Brazil, and more. Join us for a memorable experience that is sure to leave a lasting influence on the listener.
Masterclasses
Brass Connection brings a wealth of knowledge and decades of teaching experience to the instructional environment. Through masterclasses and professional workshops, participants receive personalized feedback and constructive correction to improve their technique and artistry. Performance issues are expanded to include practice strategies, chamber ensembles, fundamental brass methods, musician life balance, freelancing, self-promotion, and music business. Additionally, lecture recitals present a unique opportunity for audiences to glimpse a personal side of the the ensemble’s journey through its music-making.
